Remembering Bharat Ratna C. V. Raman on his 125th Birth Anniversary
 Chandrasekharan Venkata Raman, who is popularly known as Sir C.V. Raman belongs to a rare breed of scientists who heralded new paradigms in science with their path breaking discoveries. While his path breaking work on Light had earned him worldwide reputation and his ideas are still finding applications in several branches of knowledge even today.C.V. Raman was not only a passionate scientist but also a great visionary. He established Raman Research Institute and Indian Academy of Sciences to foster science research in India by guarding from awful burdensome bureaucratic intervention. |
